Omnicity Kicks Off DSL Program Across 38 States
Omnicity Corp. (OTC-BB: OMCY) announced today the release of DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) services in 38 states in the United States. The Company hosted an installation meeting and training seminar at Wabash REMC meeting facility to train all of the installers on the DSL process. The Company continues to move forward with a push on the Municipality marketplace and the release of its DSL product line opens the door to reaching the rural municipality. Initially, Omnicity will focus on DSL services within municipalities included in the current wireless coverage areas throughout the Midwest. In their quest to deliver ``Broadband to the Heartland'', Omnicity is leading the way in wireless, fiber optic and now DSL services.
Vice President of Customer Service and Inside Sales, Janine Shockley added, ``This allows us to say 'no' to fewer customers that are unable to get our wireless or fiber optic services. We look at the DSL service as another tool in our belt to service customers throughout Rural America.'' Omnicity began offering services originally in 2003 with their first wireless tower in Rural Indiana. Omnicity has continued to grow by building, buying and partnering with other providers of broadband in the rural markets. Omnicity completed the process of becoming a public company in February 2009 and is now one of the largest fixed wireless providers in the country.
